Enterogermina 4 Billion is a preparation consisting of a suspension of Bacillus clausii spores, habitual host of the intestine, devoid of pathogenic power.

The physiological composition of the intestinal bacterial flora can be modified by some factors, including drug therapies (in particular the intake of antibiotics), diet and stress. The resulting state of dysbiosis can be countered by various therapeutic approaches, including the recruitment of live biotherapeutic organisms, such as the Bacillus clausii spores contained in Enterogermina 4 Billion.

Thanks to its concentration of only one vial per day Enterogermina 4 Billion is able to restore the alterations of the bacterial flora and is therefore suitable for the whole family (including infants) for the treatment of:

• Intestinal dysbiosis associated with antibiotic or chemotherapy treatments, often associated with gastrointestinal symptoms such as diarrhea, abdominal pain, and increased air in the intestine.
• Acute and chronic gastrointestinal disorders in infants, caused by intoxication and intestinal dysbiosis states.
• Disvitaminosis, i.e. states of vitamin deficiency due to imbalances in their production and assimilation in the intestine, given the ability of B. clausii to produce B vitamins.

Thanks to their structure, which makes them resistant to numerous physical and chemical agents, the spores of B. clausii are able to overcome the gastric environment, characterized by very high levels of acidity, and reach the intestine unscathed, inside of which they transform into metabolically active bacteria and able to multiply. Once in the intestine, it has been shown that Enterogermina 4 Billion inhibits the growth of pathogenic strains, in favor of "good" bacteria, through two mechanisms: colonization of free ecological niches, which are therefore no longer available for the growth of bacteria "Bad", and the production of substances capable of killing them, including bacteriocins and antibiotics such as clausine.

The spores of B. clausii, in addition to being gastro-resistant, are also polyantibiotic-resistant, that is, they are able to survive in the presence of antibiotics, including penicillins, tetracyclines, macrolides and other classes of antibiotics.

When to take Enterogermina 4 Billion

Enterogermina 4 Billion can be taken during an antibiotic therapy and is able, during the treatment and in the following 7-10 days, to reduce the incidence of adverse ailments such as abdominal pain and diarrhea.

There is no risk of developing antibiotic resistance, as the genes that give B. clausii the ability to resist antibiotics are not passed on to other bacteria.

How to take Enterogermina

Enterogermina 4 Billion is odorless, tasteless and colorless. In addition, to facilitate its intake especially for children, it is possible to mix it with their favorite drinks, both cold and hot, such as milk, tea, fruit juices and herbal teas.

Preservation of Enterogermina

The spores of B. clausii contained in Enterogermina are in fact resistant to heat and maintain their beneficial properties for the intestine even at room temperature.

It is not necessary to keep Enterogermina 4 Billion in the refrigerator which is why the vials of Enterogermina 4 Billion can be always carried with you, even when you are away from home when needed.
